The RYCO motor stop is a great way to safely position your boat on the lift front to rear. This stop simply touches the front of the outboard motor or lower drive unit and controls how far forward the boat can float or drift before the lifting platform is raised. When used correctly, this stop will be set so that the boat is balanced on the lifting platform. Front to rear balance on your boat lift is crucial as overloading one end of the lifting platform more than the other can cause damage to your boat lift.
